ORCs – or on-road costs – is the mystified acronym affixed to the end of a vehicle price. Necessary and omnipresent, these three letters encompass the costs to get your vehicle road legal, safe, and shiny. They vary in cost, depending on fuel types, engine sizes, and more, so each dealership will be a little different. We’re here to de-mystify the costs and break down what you’re getting when you purchase from Miles Continental.

What is included in on-road costs?

Prices for most new vehicles are listed with a +ORC after the cost. Each dealership offers something different in its on-road costs, and they are unavoidable and non-negotiable. We go above and beyond in our on-road costs at Miles Continental, so you can rest assured your vehicle is safe, clean, and road-ready the moment you grab the keys.

On-Road Costs at Miles Continental

All non-sale new vehicle pricing is ‘MRP’ (Maximum Retail Price) and excludes on-road costs unless stated as ‘driveaway’.

New, non-commercial petrol vehicles are $1,395, inclusive of GST
New, non-commercial diesel vehicles are $1,495, inclusive of GST
- This includes 3,000km of road user charges
New commercial vehicles are $1,695
- Commercial vehicles include Volkswagen Amarok, Caddy, Transporter, Multivan, California Ocean, and Crafter

What about Used and Demo Vehicles?

Used and demo vehicles are listed at a ‘driveaway’ price, meaning you drive away without extra fees. There is no extra preparation that goes into these vehicles, so you won’t have to worry about factoring on-road costs into the final price of these vehicles.
