All-New ŠKODA Kamiq Already an Award Winner

While we patiently await the brand new ŠKODA Kamiq’s arrival to New Zealand (due in April), we’ve been enjoying some favourable reviews and awards from overseas.

The Kamiq’s release in the UK has garnered an impressive Carbuyer award, winning the Best Small SUV 2020. James Batchelor, Editor-at-large and Head of Motoring Video at Carbuyer quipped, “Simply a great all-rounder, the Kamiq offers good looks, low running costs, and lots of equipment for a sensible price, and it’s a step-up in practicality from most hatchbacks.”

Not settling for simply one award in its infancy, the Kamiq has also snatched up the 2019 Golden Steering Wheel Award for the “Best Car Under €25,000”. We’re delighted to find the Kamiq ranking high in a market full of tough competition.

Additionally, the ŠKODA Kamiq has been reviewed by WhatCar?, and glowingly we might add. We’ve included the review below so you can check it out yourself. The team stated, “We actually can’t think of a more practical car in its class” and “one of the largest cars in its class and with some really interesting features.” High praise from car aficionados.

Highlights were the boot space (400 litres of it), some simply clever features like hidden umbrellas in the doors, and agile handling. “The Kamiq is really quite smooth on the motorway.” So if you’re ready to crossover to the SUV, the Kamiq might just be the vehicle for you. See for yourself.
