Amarok arrives in New Zealand with 5 Star ANCAP Safety

The Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) is a reputable and independent organisation responsible for assessing and rating the safety performance of vehicles in Australia and New Zealand. The 5-star ANCAP safety rating awarded to the all-new Amarok reflects its exceptional safety standards, encompassing various aspects of passenger and road user protection.
ANCAP conducts rigorous crash tests to evaluate how vehicles perform in different collision scenarios. These tests simulate real-world accidents and measure the level of protection provided to occupants. Achieving a 5-star rating indicates that the all-new Amarok has excelled in frontal, side, and rear impact tests, providing an excellent level of safety to occupants in the event of a collision.

The much-anticipated all‑new Amarok Ute range has arrived in New Zealand and is set to head straight to dealerships across the country for customers orders.
Capable by their very nature, the Amarok is ready to tackle kiwi roads with refinement and sophistication plus, a 5 Star ANCAP safety rating with feature-impressive Volkswagen DNA both inside and out.

Pre-orders for the Ute are the highest volumes we’ve ever seen, and this is even before dealers and customers get the chance to touch and feel it. The level of sophistication is matched by how capable it is, both off and on‑road and we anticipate demand to further increase once Amarok hits our showrooms,” says general manager of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles New Zealand, Kevin Richards.
The four new models; Life, Style, PanAmericana and top-of-the-line Aventura all include new driver assistance technology such as Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Autonomous Emergency Braking, making it the most advanced Amarok to date.
The highly anticipated next generation Volkswagen Amarok has now just been awarded a five-star rating by ANCAP SAFETY, Australia and New Zealand’s independent voice on vehicle safety.
The Volkswagen Amarok comes equipped as standard with dual frontal, side chest-protecting and side head-protecting curtain airbags, as well as a driver and passenger knee airbag. A centre airbag which provides added protection to front seat occupants in side impact crashes is also a standard offering.
Pricing starts from $65,000 MRP and you can test drive an Amarok from dealerships across the country from 4 May.
