We’re Proud to Support the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust

We’re honoured to support the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust in their mission to provide a home away from home.

Miles Continental recently supported the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust at their Annual Charity Golf Tournament fundraising event. They raised a massive $61,000 which will go towards vital research into bone marrow and blood-related cancers and for the education of medical students in this field.

“The Miles Continental golf team tried hard, and fundraised well, but based on the performance on the course it has been decided that there will be trials for next year’s team.” – Mark Milligan

For over 30 years, the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust has supported thousands of patients and their families who have had to leave home for lifesaving medical treatment in Christchurch. Established in 1990, a group of passionate volunteers and haematologists had the vision to establish the first bone marrow transplant unit in New Zealand to be based in Christchurch.

To date, they continue to raise funds towards research for a cure and have built over 60 apartments to accommodate patients and their whanau’s travelling to Christchurch as they undergo lifesaving medical treatment for cancer and life-threatening illnesses.

If you’d like to donate to their cause, you can find their Donation page here.
