The future is electric!

Christchurch Airport is committed to becoming more sustainable and is transitioning its vehicle fleet to 100% electric – the first business in the South Island to sign up to a global initiative, EV100.

Miles Continental is proud to supply CIAL’s Volkswagen e-Golf fleet to help them in this endeavour.

Airport chief executive Malcolm Johns says: “We are continually looking at our operations and challenging ourselves to become greener. With the transport sector the fastest-growing contributor to climate change, transitioning our vehicle fleet to electric is a sensible next step.”

The e-Golf was the perfect choice for CIAL as not only is it 100% electric, it has a real-world range of 220km which means more use between charging.
