‘Meals from the Heart’ Cooking Competition

Recently, our team at Miles Continental returned to the Rānui House kitchen for 2025 to prepare some delicious meals for the families currently in residence.

Through the Meals from the Heart programme, groups of friends, families, or colleagues can give back by preparing home-cooked meals that offer comfort and care to those staying at Rānui House. The concept is simple: gather four to six people, bring along the ingredients, and cook on-site in the Rānui House kitchen. Each session typically caters to 30–40 people, plus your team.

This year, the competition involved three teams: Service, Sales, and Parts, who each showcased their culinary skills with flair. After all three cooking sessions, the families have the job of voting for their favourite dishes, and the winning team proudly takes home the classic Volkswagen T1 model trophy.
