Andrew’s (and Andrew’s dog’s) ŠKODA Kodiaq
Former Brit, Andrew, was one of the first to own a new ŠKODA Kodiaq in New Zealand. He’s loving his new car – named What Car? Best Large SUV of the Year and Auto Test 2017 Award Winner – and has sent us a few photos, sharing his ownership experience so far, from the showroom to Governors Bay!
There’s plenty of competition in the SUV market right now (with many journalists favouring the Kodiaq). We asked Andrew exactly why he chose a ŠKODA Kodiaq.
I have previously owned a Skoda in the UK and was involved in an accident on the M4 motorway heading into London. My Skoda undoubtedly saved my life and no doubt has reinforced my belief in the brand. When Skoda introduced the Kodiaq in NZ I was delighted to return ‘home’ to the brand, and the car fits my requirements perfectly and is so suited to the Kiwi lifestyle.
For me, buying a Skoda is an intelligent choice, but one for the heart as much as the head. For the money you get the space, technology and specification of cars that can cost twice as much or more. It was a simple choice, simply clever.
Andrew took the above photo on the day that he collected his new Kodiaq from our showroom. Having dealt with one of our ŠKODA Sales Consultants, Cameron Fahey, Andrew was delighted with the process and couldn’t be more excited to drive his new car home. In fact, the very next day, Andrew headed our Facebook Page to post a review.
It didn’t take Andrew long to customise his new SUV, creating what looks to be a very practical and comfortable space for a large dog that likes to run on the beach! The Kodiaq’s last row of rear seats in this 7-seater can be hidden away to create a substantial boot space, and an extendable rear screen separates the rear passenger seats from the boot.
Since picking up his Kodiaq, Andrew’s kept in regular touch, providing updates and photographs via our Facebook Page. It certainly looks like he’s making the most of his car, and it’s awesome to see it out in ‘the real world’ doing what it does best.
