Emily’s 2015 Volkswagen Golf R

Local Volkswagen owner, Emily Ward, recently tagged our Volkswagen showroom’s Instagram account (@milesvolkswagen) in a post featuring her 2015 MK7 Golf R. It was a great shot of an awesome vehicle, and it didn’t take much scrolling before we realised that Emily is a huge Volkswagen fan.

We love hearing from our local drivers so asked Emily if she’d be happy for us to repost her photos here. She very kindly obliged and, on top of that, also gave us some kind words!

Volkswagen has always been a huge passion for me. Being born and bred in the UK it’s only natural for me to be lead down the European car path. I started my love for Volkswagens with a 3 door 2000 MK4 Golf GTI 5 speed manual. It was my first car!

I very quickly moved onto a 2010 MK6 Golf R which really jump started my love for the 4motion 4WD system. From there it was just an obsession!

Now, owning a MK7 Golf R, I am even more in love. Each car has been better than the last. Not only in looks, but refinement and overall driving pleasure.

The MK7 R is an absolute dream to own, and always turns some heads!

“Pretty eyes.”

Following our chat with Emily, we were actually inspired to split our previous Miles Continental Instagram account into two. One dedicated to our Volkswagen showroom (@milesvolkswagen) and one to our ŠKODA showroom (@milesskoda). These two accounts are still both ‘Miles Continental’, but better positioned to support our local owners of each brand.

Emily also encouraged us to give our Facebook Groups a push. We set these up a while ago to act as a place for all local owners to discuss their vehicles, but – to be honest – haven’t done much with them yet. Emily – with the help of Alex and Tracey (thanks! You guys rock, too!) – have helped us to gather a few more members.
