What NZ Journalists are saying about the 2020 Superb Scout

ŠKODA New Zealand recently gave NZ Autocar and Drive Life the opportunity to try out the all-new ŠKODA Superb Scout. Read on to find out what they thought.

For us, it was love at first sight when we laid eyes on the new Superb Scout (though we may be a little bias). However, it affirms our gut instinct when motoring journalists all over the world are singing its praises, including a few from New Zealand. This is turning out to be one very desirable station wagon indeed.

“This is a well-considered jack of all trades. It does space and luggage, performance, and ride comfort, with acceptable handling and refinement to boot.” – NZ Autocar

The new ŠKODA Superb is driving comfort, luxury, and performance all in one, and the latest derivative – the Superb Scout – invites you to set off in search of new adventure. With it’s powerful 200kW turbo petrol engine, 250Nm torque, ‘Rough-Road Package’, and 15mm of additional ride height, you’d be right in thinking you should reserve this one for the gravel roads. Switch it into ‘Eco’ and you’ll have yourself an equally capable, and fuel-efficient city slicker for your daily commute. Plus with adaptive cruise control as standard, you’ll hardly have to “drive” at all^.

Superb Scout Boot

Powerful enough to carry a lot, the spaciousness of the new Superb has motoring journalists swooning. Why wouldn’t they? With 660L of boot space and three adults in the back seat, there’s plenty of room for everyone.

“For a change, I’m going to start in the boot, because it’s one of the Superb’s highlights. Opening up the electric tailgate, you see the huge 660 litres of storage. Not only do you have that much space available (and then 1950 litres with the rear seat folded down), there are large bins at each side of the boot as well. The boot is simply massive.” – Fred Alvrez, Drive Life

Superb Scout Back Seat

On that note, there’s enough legroom in the back to satisfy your six-foot uncle who always claims he has to ride shotgun due to the length of his legs.

“And there it is, feature number two of the Superb; rear legroom. It’s bordering on unbelievable, and could put a limousine to shame.” – Fred Alvrez, Drive Life

Now that we’ve got your attention, have a look and see what else the experts say about the Superb Scout – you won’t be disappointed.
