The Golf GTE has a unique way of welcoming the driver into the vehicle. When you approach and unlock your Golf GTE, the headlights, taillight clusters, and radiator grille lights will turn on. The door handle recesses will also illuminate, and a welcoming light will be projected on the ground from the exterior mirror.

Technology and Performance

Charging Station and Electric Motor Range

The Golf GTE can get you further than you think with one battery charge. A full charge can provide a maximum electric range of 60 km*, which can easily take you to work, or the grocery store, or the gym, and back.

Depending on which charging type you use, you can get to a full charge in approximately 7 hours and 20 minutes at 1.7 kW or approximately 4 hours at 3.6 kW. Once the battery is depleted, it automatically switches to petrol, so you don’t have to worry about range anxiety or having to find the nearest charging station right away.
