Volkswagen EVs at the Take Charge Expo 2024
The 2024 Take Charge electric vehicle expo in Christchurch took place last weekend, 23 & 24 November, with our Sales Specialists proudly showcasing EVs from the Volkswagen range.
Originally operated by the Christchurch City Council, this year was the third annual running of the event taking place at the world class Te Pae Convention Centre, and now under the stewardship of organiser Kevin Crutchley. Kevin has run the numbers and says that over 2,000 people attended the event to see the 24 vehicles on display.
For the third-year running, Volkswagen proudly demonstrated fully-electric models from their range. While it was just slightly too early to showcase the exciting new ID. Buzz, event attendees had an excellent opportunity to view the Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5 mid-size SUVs.
The ID.4 combines Volkswagen’s legendary heritage with modern safety and performance, while the ID.5 adds a stylish SUV coupé option to the line-up.
