If you’re looking for a small car, you can look no further than 3-times consecutive ‘Small Car of the Year’ (and 2015 overall Car of the Year) winner, the ŠKODA Fabia.
Available in hatch or wagon form, the Fabia is priced from just $19,990 plus on road costs, with fuel consumption from just 4.7L/100km combined. Packed with features, equipped with advanced technology and driving comforts, and surprisingly roomy, the Fabia is an easy choice for both private buyers and businesses alike (find out more about ŠKODA fleet vehicles).
The ŠKODA Fabia adds a completely new dimension to the concept of the passenger car. While other small cars are designed solely with transporting people from one place to another in mind, the Fabia stands out from the crowd by expressing its owner‘s personality. You can choose your own colours for the body, roof, side-mirror covers, alloy wheels and interior.
The car’s front embodies the core elements of the new ŠKODA design language, including the grille’s clear geometric shape, the ŠKODA logo on the sloping front end of the bonnet and the crystalline design of the headlights. The silver logo, mounted at a vantage point on the nose, is the starting point for a distinctive overall design with a horizontal emphasis. Even from the rear, the ŠKODA Fabia exudes strength and assurance.
The ŠKODA Fabia’s interior shines with high-end materials, precision and top workmanship. Interior designers placed a distinct emphasis on horizontal lines, making the interior of this small car appear spacious and self-assured.
The third-generation Fabia, with an interior 1,674 mm long, offers ample space. Passengers in the back enjoy comfortable seating with accentuated cushion and backrest contours. Options to customise your Fabia are not limited to the exterior. You will also be impressed by the interior’s range of colour schemes available for the seats, door panelling, the centre console, the dashboard and the trim. See our team for available options.
There are also various steering wheel variants available, allowing you to choose one that best suits your comfort and needs.
The large optional panoramic sunroof with a sunshade delivers plenty of daylight into the interior. The glass is tinted black, so only a comfortable amount of light and heat is allowed to enter the vehicle.
The engine range contains exclusively newly designed engines, and both the Fabia Hatch and Wagon are available with a 1.2L Turbo Petrol TSI Engine. There was plenty of opportunity to accommodate the latest trends in powertrain design in their development. Drivers will appreciate not only the smoothness of the engines, but also their immediate response to the accelerator pedal, the optimal torque and low consumption.
The new generation of electronic assistance systems makes driving the upgraded ŠKODA Fabia even safer and more comfortable. There is a wide range to choose from, including Front Assistant, ESC with Multi-collision Brake, Fatigue Detection.
The Fabia features an impressive list of assistants which make mobility safer and more comfortable. Some of them will help you to spot a pedestrian crossing in front of you, while others are there to give you eyes in the back of your head; you can count on them while driving on the motorway and in the city. The assistants found in the Octavia are there to make your day-to-day driving as comfortable and safe as possible.
The ŠKODA Fabia is about safety without compromise. Besides the above safety systems, the following features are available as standard or an option for the Fabia:
ABS keeps the wheels from locking during emergency braking or when braking on slippery surfaces.
By increasing the braking pressure, the braking assistant helps drivers in situations in which emergency braking is necessary. This can lead to a significant reduction in the braking distance required.
MSR counters the locking action of the driving wheels, which can occur when the driver decelerates on a smooth surface.
The ASR ensures smooth starting and acceleration without the wheels spinning on slippery surfaces.
EDL helps when accelerating or driving uphill with low traction under one of the driven wheels.
XDS+ helps the driver during sharp turns and ensures that the vehicle behaves neutrally during dynamic cornering. The control electronics essentially simulate the presence of a self-locking differential to improve traction and driving dynamics during turns. As a result, the vehicle will take bends much more assuredly and naturally than before.
Tyre pressure control keeps the driver informed about tyre pressure at all times.
The optional hill-hold control assistant helps drivers to start uphill safely. The system activates itself on inclines of five degrees or more and ensures easy and safe uphill starting without the use of the handbrake. The system keeps the car from rolling backwards or stalling.
Flashing brake lights reduce the risk of rear-end impact, especially when approaching traffic jams on highways or braking suddenly in front of an unexpected obstacle.
The Hatch is equipped with a 305-litre boot capacity which increases to as much as 1,125 litres with the back seat folded down. The spacious rear access width of 1,098 mm, the tailgate that swings open to 1,915 mm and a sill height of just 659 mm make loading easier.
The Wagon is equipped with a 505-litre boot capacity which increases to as much as 1,370 litres with the back seat folded down. The spacious rear access width of 1,028 mm, the tailgate that swings open to 1,900 mm and a sill height of just 611 mm make loading easier.
