    The Golf R’s interior is designed for comfort and style. The driver and front passenger enjoy ‘R’ Nappa leather seats with a carbon look, blue stitching, and an ‘R’ logo for added support during dynamic drives. The upgraded multi-function sports leather steering wheel features larger DSG shift paddles, perforated leather grips, and blue accents.     The range of driving modes is expanding: in addition to the already familiar “Comfort”, “Sport”, “Race” and “Individual” driving profiles, the new Golf R now has the “Eco” driving profile. After a brisk sprint, this mode allows you to slow down a little and make your leisurely journeys more energy-efficient.

  • Wheel and rim range

    The Golf R is equipped with 19-inch “Estoril” alloy wheels with a high sheen surface, or in an all-black trim on the Black Edition. All wheels are fitted with a centre cap which for the first time features the ‘R’ logo instead of the ‘VW’ emblem.

    The 2.0L four cylinder turbo petrol engine of the new Golf R represents the most powerful evolutionary stage of the engine series, and unleashes outstanding dynamics in almost every driving situation. The acceleration is very impressive, with a maximum power output of 245 kW and 420Nm of torque catapulting the new Golf R from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. With the Black Edition, the Golf R can reach top speeds of 270 km/h.

All pricing is ‘MRP’ (Maximum Retail Price) and excludes on-road costs (ORC) unless stated as ‘driveaway’. On-road costs for new petrol (non-commercial) vehicles are $1,945 which includes GST, 12 months registration, full tank of fuel, 3 years WOF, 5 years factory warranty, 5 years Roadside Assistance, genuine floor mats, professional groom and pre-delivery inspection. On-road costs for new diesel, PHEV, EV, and all commercial vehicles are $2,245. The first 3,000km Road Users Charges are included on all models subject to RUC.

5 Year Warranty Terms and Conditions: Offer is applicable to all new Volkswagen Passenger and Commercial models (excluding vehicle conversions) purchased at an authorised Volkswagen dealership. The Volkswagen 5-year/150,000 km mechanical warranty (whichever occurs first) is available from the time of purchase. Warranty for the Crafter model is 5 Years/250,000 km.
